CAPS
The Pepperdine Chapter of the Christian Association for Psychological Studies (CAPS) meets for fellowship, service, and learning about the integration of faith with the practice of clinical psychology and marriage and family therapy. We bring together current GSEP master's and doctoral students and alumni, as well as faculty and staff members, from all of our campuses (Calabasas, Irvine, Malibu, and West Los Angeles) to help build community and support the mission of Pepperdine University.
Some of our activities include: hosting and attending seminars and conferences on religion and psychology, engaging in community service, and enjoying social activities together. Embracing diversity, we invite all members of the GSEP community to participate in our activities.
Student membership in our parent organization, CAPS, is $50. CAPS is the nation's largest nonprofit association of Christians in the counseling and behavioral sciences. Founded in 1956 by a small group of Christian mental health professionals, CAPS has grown to more than 2000 members in the U.S., Canada, and more than 25 other countries.
