Carolyn Keatinge - Pepperdine GSEP

"A good clinician is like a detective trying to solve a mystery."

Dr. Carolyn Keatinge, lecturer of psychology at the Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP), specializes in forensic assessment, one of the most popular and exciting fields in psychology. She has served on the Orange County panel of expert witnesses, has been an examiner for the California Board of Psychology, and has provided psychological services for the criminal justice system on many accounts. Of her work, Keatinge said: "You have to be able to determine whether or not an injury had the effect that one claims it did. A good clinician is like a detective trying to solve a mystery."

Keatinge teaches a number of classes, including "Assessment for Marriage and Family Therapists," "Personality Assessment," and "Advanced Psychological Assessment." She has also written an acclaimed text, Diagnosis and Treatment of Mental Disorders across the Lifespan.
