Our History

Student walks on GSEP Malibu campus on a sunny day.

Sacred Centering began in the fall of 2017 as a brown bag lunch series. The GSEP community gathered in the WLA campus library for a "meeting of the hearts and minds" with Lani Netter, producer of the acclaimed film The Shack. Themes from the film sparked dialogue on a range of issues about the role of spirituality and faith in modern life and other current topics.

Veterans Prayer Service

Student speaks at Sacred Centering veteran's service

On November 11, 2019, on the WLA campus, GSEP held a prayer service to honor the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. GSEP faculty, staff, Board of Visitors, alumni, and students led the gathering in prayer and reflection.

Attendees also had an opportunity to hear from our GSEP community members who are veterans or dependents of veterans.

A livestream of the gathering was offered to ensure all members of our global GSEP network could participate and receive their deserved recognition. The event also raised awareness of and support for the GSEP Scholarships for Military Veterans, such as the Curtice & Evelyn Booth Veterans Endowed Scholarship, Waves Got Your Six Scholarship, and Land of the Free Foundation.

Christmas Prayers

Pepperdine community gathers at night in Mullin Town for the annual Christmas tree lighting

Members of our GSEP family have shared their "Christmas prayer for GSEP." As you read these prayers may you be encouraged and blessed.
