God's Plans are Good

Today we all face various challenges in our personal lives. We hear the latest news and see many life-changing events in our local communities and world. The issues seem to scream louder than we can focus on, but as followers of Jesus Christ, we must reframe our thoughts on the word of God and His many promises.

One of His promises highlighted in Jeremiah 29:11, reminds us so simply of God’s triple-fold plan. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” That’s right, in this passage we are promised a trinity plan and it’s good!

As we have already started our new year, let’s take a moment to pause and take a deeper look into God’s amazing plans for us. I know the plans I have for you - this is a personal plan just for you! Take the time to place your name there. God has a plan for Veronica, Steve, Marcy, and Jackson, and the names continue. Believe that God is concerned about you, and His plans are far greater than your own. Besides, He knows everything about you, so if you want to know more about His plans, seek Him and spend time with Him (walk, pray, journal, sit still) and let Him share them with you.

Plan 1 - A plan to prosper you. Yes, you beloved! God has plans to prosper your life. To prosper is to succeed, be strong, flourish, and thrive. God wants you to prosper in every area of your life and even for your soul to prosper (3 John 1:2). Take some time to survey your life and know that God’s desire is for you to thrive. Ask Him to make this real for you. He wants you to be successful.

Plan 2 - A plan to not harm you. God’s plan is not to harm you. God's character is love. He is a holy God who watches over you with protection, grace, favor, and so much more. Yes, there are many things in the world that can harm you. John 10:10 highlights these evil harms, but God reminds us that He is a good father of love and protection, leading away from harm and danger, but we must choose to follow. See God embracing you in His arms of protection.

Plan 3 - A plan to give you hope and a future. In this plan, God gives us double benefits, which are hope and a future. You can hope that something good is going to happen. What are you hoping for, expecting, desiring? God has a plan to bless it, the only condition is that you must believe it. Each morning begin your day believing that God has something good for you. The second benefit is your future, your destiny. God has a great destiny for you. Get excited knowing that your destiny is in the hands of God. He has the power to get you right where you need to be. Thank Him because your destiny will impact the lives of others, pointing the way to God’s love and peace on the earth. God is for you, He loves you and wants you to win.
