La Raza de GSEP

Empowering diversity, illuminating unity y elevando las voces de nuestra communidad: La Raza de GSEP (La Raza - GSEP) focuses on uplifting diverse voices through unity and belonging. This student group brings together Hispanic/Latino/a graduate students to create alliances, assist with recruitment and retention, and perform public service. Hispanic/Latino culture is not a monolith; therefore, we encourage participation and engagement across all of GSEP. All students and alumni are welcome to join La Raza, regardless of race or ethnicity.

La Raza is a student-led organization that was formed by graduate students to increase awareness and student retention in higher education and academia by creating a place of belonging and inclusion. It advocates for students and provides a forum to collaborate and disseminate information with one another. It also taps into alumni as a way for them to share their experiences and provide networking and connection opportunities across the GSEP landscape.

Students interested in joining La Raza at GSEP can email the GSEP faculty advisor: Dr. Gabriella Miramontes at gabriella.miramontes@pepperdine.edu.
