Regalia

Herff Jones, the preferred vendor of custom Pepperdine regalia.

  • Flexibility: Graduates can choose to rent or purchase custom Pepperdine regalia
  • Ordering: All regalia (cap, gown, hood) must be ordered through the Herff Jones web portal 
  • Portal Opens: February 12, 2026
  • Shipping: Orders are shipped directly to the graduate. Orders placed after close dates are subject to premium charges.


Rental Regalia Deadlines

  • Psychology  - Graduates must place rental orders by April 5, 2026 (regular shipping charge) and April 19, 2026 (2nd-day air charge), in advance of the May 9, 2026 ceremony. 
  • Education  - Graduates must place rental orders by April 19, 2026 (regular shipping charge) and May 3, 2026 (2nd-day air charge), in advance of the May 23, 2026 ceremony. 

Master’s Regalia Rental Items

  • Rental Price: ~$68.00 (+ tax & shipping)
  • Includes: Mortarboard cap, tassel, gown, and hood
  • Returns: Gown and hood must be returned (either to the Herff Jones tent after the ceremony, or via mail); graduates keep the cap and tassel as souvenirs

Doctoral Regalia Rental Items

  • Rental Price: ~$70.00 (+ tax & shipping)
  • Includes: Mortarboard cap, tassel, gown, and hood
  • Optional Tam: You may purchase an 8-sided royal blue velvet tam from Herff Jones or another vendor
  • Returns: Gown and hood must be returned (either to the Herff Jones tent after the ceremony, or via mail); graduates keep the cap and tassel as souvenirs

Purchasing Custom Pepperdine Regalia

  • If you wish to purchase rather than rent, allow at least 6 weeks for manufacturing (expedited 3–5 week options available during checkout)
  • Purchase Price: ~$878.00 (+ tax & shipping) 
  • Psychology Purchase Deadline: March 13, 2026
  • Education Purchase Deadline: March 27, 2026

Honor Cords

  • Honor Cords ($25.00): Available for graduates with a cumulative 3.5+ GPA
  • Purchase via the Honor Cord Portal below (Psychology sales close May 3, 2026; Education sales close May 17, 2026)
  • Pick up at check-in on commencement day
  • Master's and doctoral honors are not printed in the commencement program nor read individually during the ceremony

Achievement Stole

  • Worn over the shoulders to denote your school, not associated with GPA
  • Available under the "student rental gown" section on the Herff Jones website

Military Cords

  • Complimentary red, white, and blue cords provided at check-in for veterans, active duty, Guard/Reservists, and ROTC cadets
  • Eligibility is collected via the GSEP RSVP form
  • Cords will be disseminated on commencement day at graduate check-in
