Psychology Career Service Events

Workshops and Events are held at various graduate campuses throughout the year. Please check the event calendar, WEBNET Announcements, and your Pepperdine email for the date and time.


Resume Writing Workshop

Learn about what a resume is; the different types of resumes; the content of your resume, including how to correctly write your work experience; the format of your resume. How to write a cover letter and special tips will also be discussed.


Curriculum Vitae Letter Writing Workshop

Learn about what a Cover Letter is; the different types of CV's; the content of your CV, including how to correctly writing your work experience; the format of your CV. How to write a cover letter and special tips will also be discussed.


Career Services Presentation

Presentations will be given during selected M.A., MFT, and Psy.D. classes
Learn about cover letters, resumes and/or curriculum vitas; the content, how to write your work experience, and the format. Job interview techniques and job search tips will also be discussed.


MFT and MA Psychology Alumni Career Panel

Each career pannel is a question and answer session with Pepperdine alumni who work in the field. MFT panels highlight MFT Interns and licensed clinicians and MA panels include professionals from a variety of fields, including those who work for non-profit organizations and community colleges and in human resources or in marketing. These events give current students the opportunity to gain perspective and insight into their career.


Doctoral Roundtable

Each doctoral roundtable is a question and answer session with students and alumni who are from Pepperdine's PsyD program and graduates of other doctoral programs. Learn about the different programs, the importance of accreditation, and the application process.


Career Fairs

Career Fairs provide Pepperdine students, upcoming graduates, and alumni with the unique opportunity to meet potential employers, identify job opportunities, and network. Hone interview skills, learn industry specifications, gathering information about companies, and make valuable contacts. Attendees often leave a career fair with interviews, prospective jobs, internships or volunteer opportunities, and career advice from experts in the field.
