In This Season: Celebrate with one Another, Think of Others, and Praise the Lord

It’s time to celebrate this holiday season and gather together with family and friends to rejoice in the birth of Jesus Christ!

Isaiah 9:6

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.”

For some, the holiday season can be the most difficult time of year, but it is important to remember that God is always with us and will protect us.

Philippians 4:6

“Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

As we may be looking to receive gifts from others, let us remember that this is a time of giving, so let’s open our hearts and continue to think of others.

1 Corinthians 10:24

“People should be concerned about others and not just about themselves.”

Hebrews 13:16

“Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”

My prayer is that everyone has a blessed, safe, and joyous holiday season and that you find a renewed spirit to begin the New Year with a sense of peace, hope, and purpose.

Romans 15:13

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.”
