Spanish Language Version of Moodnotes App Now Available

Spanish Translation of the CBT-based Moodnotes App, developed by Dr. Drew Erhardt and Dr. Edrick Dorian, Promises to Extend the Reach of Digital Mental Health Tools

The popular  Moodnotes  app, designed by GSEP Psychology Professor Drew Erhardt and Clinical Psychology Psy.D. alumnus Edrick Dorian in collaboration with  ustwo  digital design studio, is now available in Spanish.   Grounded in the scientifically supported content of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and positive psychology, the app enables users to track their moods over time, avoid common thinking traps, increase self-awareness, and develop perspectives associated with increased happiness and well-being.  The app went through a rigorous translation and back-translation process by licensed bilingual psychologists, including Dr. Ilda Aharonian and Dr. Teresa Celada of GSEP’s  Aliento Center for Latina/o Communities .  Dr. Erhardt notes that “given that few quality Spanish-language, CBT-based mental health apps are currently available, we’re very excited to be able to offer this translation of Moodnotes and hope that it enables Spanish speakers throughout the world to access these useful psychological tools.”  Those interested in accessing the translated version of Moodnotes need only download the app from the  Apple App Store  and set the language on their device to Spanish.
