Helen Easterling Williams Announced as Keynote Speaker for Association of Pan-African Doctoral Studies Annual Doctoral Scholarship and Awards Celebration

The Graduate School of Education and Psychology is pleased to announce dean Helen Easterling Williams as the keynote speaker for the 40^th Annual Doctoral Scholarship and Awards Celebration for the Association of Pan-African Doctoral Scholars, Inc (APADS). 

This event will take place on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at 1:30 PM PT via Zoom. The fundraiser supports scholarships and highlights academic excellence supporting doctoral candidates and scholars. This year will highlight “The Impact of Doctoral Leadership,” and present scholarships to Marcette Fochier, PhD, Jeannette Pugh, PhD, and Obioma Uche, PhD, with Ayanna Davis, PhD, as Mistress of Ceremonies. 

For over 40 years, APADS continues to be a support organization that fosters and provides mentoring support for Pan-African students and scholars. APADS is concerned both with ensuring the academic success of students pursuing a doctoral degree and supporting the professional development of Pan-African scholars in educational research and in corporate settings.
