The GSEP Spotlight Series highlights students and alumni whose journeys reflect Purpose, Service, and Leadership in action. In this spotlight, we feature Leor Ram, a psychotherapist, group facilitator, and educator whose career is devoted to helping individuals and professionals build deeper, more meaningful relationships.

Driven by a lifelong curiosity about how people think, connect, and grow, Leor Ram has built a career centered on transformative human connection. Whether working in clinical settings, leading interpersonal process groups, or training the next generation of therapists, Leor is passionate about helping others navigate relational dynamics with greater authenticity, insight, and care.

Leor earned a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology in 2017. He credits his time at Pepperdine for providing both the academic foundation and values-driven approach that continue to guide his work today.

“Pepperdine helped me think critically about how to integrate clinical expertise with a deeper understanding of human connection,” Leor shares. “The emphasis on service, leadership, and ethical practice aligned perfectly with my belief that therapy should be inclusive, experiential, and grounded in real-world challenges.”

One of the most defining aspects of Leor’s clinical journey has been his deep involvement in group therapy and interpersonal process groups. These settings, he says, are where his passion comes to life—creating real-time opportunities for reflection, emotional growth, and relational breakthroughs.

Leor’s clinical focus includes working with individuals who often feel misunderstood or disconnected, especially those navigating intense emotions, difficult relationships, or chronic patterns of isolation. His goal is to help clients experience more genuine connection by developing self-awareness, communication skills, and relational trust.

Beyond clinical practice, Leor finds fulfillment in mentoring and training other therapists, helping them grow in confidence and clinical effectiveness when working with complex interpersonal challenges. He has led training series, workshops, and supervision programs that blend theory with experiential learning — helping clinicians sharpen their skills while cultivating greater empathy and depth in their work.

Currently, Leor is introducing Relational Life Therapy (RLT) into his practice, a model that supports clients in breaking free from destructive relational patterns and moving toward more authentic, fulfilling connections. This approach is central to his mission of expanding access to high-quality, relationally focused care for individuals, couples, groups, and fellow clinicians.

“Whether through therapy, training, or advocacy, my goal is to foster meaningful connections and contribute to a more compassionate and inclusive therapeutic community,” he says.
