The Pepperdine Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) welcomed a member of the Pepperdine Foster Grandparents program, Loretta Randle to share the spiritual practice of Lectio Divina as part of GSEP’s monthly devotional gathering, Sacred Centering.

Ms. Randle, author of Reflections of a Radical Servant Leader, had attendees focus on Psalm 131 through the spiritual practice of Lectio Divina as a way to experience the transforming work of the Spirit of God. Ms. Randle shared that being a servant leader involves paying attention to God; reading His word—the Bible; and being broken, perfected, and transparent.

Founded in 2017, Sacred Centering is a monthly devotional gathering for GSEP faculty, staff, students, and alumni.  Sacred Centering aims to set aside time to gather as a community, pause to focus on God’s sanctity, and allow for the renewal of our collective spirits. All are welcome. For more information on GSEP’s Sacred Centering, please contact Vanessa Jahn at vanessa.jahn@pepperdine.edu.
