Distinguished Lecture Series Features Internationally-Acclaimed Author, Psychologist, and Wellness Expert Dr. Zelana Montminy


The Pepperdine University  Graduate School of Education and Psychology  (GSEP) Maragret L. Weber Distinguished Lecture Series continues this academic year with it the second lecture of the series, “Forget Happiness Master Resilience Instead” with guest speaker, Dr. Zelana Montminy. The second lecture in the series will be hosted at the West Los Angeles campus today, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m. PDT.

Dr. Zelana Montminy is an internationally-acclaimed author, psychologist, and wellness expert. One of Maria Shriver’s Architects of Change, Dr. Z (as she’s known to her clients and fans) translates complicated research from Positive Psychology and the fields of nutrition and neurology, to create a uniquely holistic approach to health. She is the author of 21 Days to Resilience.

Dr. Montminy holds masters and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology with a specialization in health, as well as a Certificate in Plant-Based Nutrition from Cornell University. This multi-faceted background makes her uniquely qualified to explore the psychological aspects of Health & Wellness. In all her endeavors Dr. Montminy seeks to explore the relationship between resilience, happiness, and healthful lifestyle choices. She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), an active regional board member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO), a consultant for the Institute for Applied Positive Research, and on the Program Advisory Board of the Respect Institute.
