Biography

Dr. Tomeiko Scott is a certified psychometrist with a PhD in Psychology and a specialization of Educational Psychology with a concentration in Child and Adolescent Development from Capella University. With an extensive background in school and educational psychology, Dr. Scott has experience with assessment, learning disabilities, and disability services that span from early childhood/elementary education to higher education. She has served as a psychometrist and has advanced knowledge of the administration and scoring of neuropsychological and psychoeducational assessments. Dr. Scott is trained in learning differences and understanding the human capacity to learn. She obtained a Master of Arts in Education in School Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education from the University of Montevallo. Her research interests include assessment, mental health, and neurodevelopmental disorders. Dr. Scott has presented on Universal Design for Learning and serves as a resource for faculty and staff on reasonable accommodations for students with learning, medical, and mental health disabilities.
