Biography

Dr. Susan Finley is a published researcher, educator, and mental health advocate. She is a national certified counselor, board-certified TeleMental health provider, and certified suicide prevention instructor under the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). She currently teaches psychology and counseling at the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Her research interests focus on the use of social media marketing for mental health professionals. She is particularly invested in studying the legal and ethical gray areas encountered while using social media in one's private practice.

Dr. Finley is actively involved in the community, doing advocacy work in suicide prevention and intervention for military members and civilians. Originally from New York, she has been a resident of Los Angeles since 2009.
