Biography

Richard “Dr. E” Espinoza, PsyD, is a leading clinical psychologist based in Los Angeles, specializing in trauma and resilience. His practice places a strong emphasis on serving the LGBTQ+ community and its allies, striving to empower individuals from diverse backgrounds through comprehensive psychological assessments, transformative talk therapy, and dedicated activism. Dr. Espinoza is an esteemed professor and captivating speaker, where he shares practical insights on self-discovery and personal growth, along with creating accessible self-help resources designed to inspire personal transformation and a deeper sense of fulfillment.

Dr. Espinoza embarked on his academic journey at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a minor in Applied Psychology in March 2011, distinguished as a Ronald E. McNair Scholar. He furthered his education at the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA, obtaining a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology in June 2013, followed by a Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology in June 2015, from the same APA-accredited program.

Currently, Dr. Espinoza is in the process of applying for board certification in Clinical Psychology with the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), a testament to his ongoing commitment to professional excellence and adherence to the highest standards of practice in the field of clinical psychology.
