Linda Jungwirth

Biography

Dr. Linda Jungwirth, an adjunct faculty member in the education division, teaches in the Educational Leadership, Administration, and Policy doctoral program (ELAP) at the Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP), from which she graduated. She is founder and president of Convening Conversations, Inc., a professional development company for business and education.

Jungwirth was recognized as a California League of High Schools (CLHS) 2007 Educator of the Year for Region 10 in support of high school reform and was the recipient of the 2008 Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) Wilson A. Grace Award. This award recognizes Jungwirth as a person who exemplifies ideals of tolerance, compassion, and professional leadership, and as a person who is well respected and can motivate and inspire personal and professional growth in others.

Jungwirth's experience includes extensive grant writing and leading the transformation of 19 high schools in 11 districts in creating small learning environments. She has also directed K-12 professional development services in leadership, curriculum, instruction, assessment, technology, and 21st century learning for K-12 districts throughout California.

Jungwirth, along with Drs. Randall and Delores Lindsey and Dr. Jarvis Pahl is the co-author of the book Culturally Proficient Learning Communities, published by Corwin Press, Inc.
