Biography

Krishna LeFan is a professor of psychology at Pepperdine University and a counselor at law.

LeFan’s current research explores historical trauma/settler fragility via the Conquest of California, decision-making involving legal consequences, and literature as psychoeducation.

Before coming to Pepperdine University, LeFan worked under esteemed author, professor, and dean of the college, Dr. Donald N. Levine of the University of Chicago. He was also a landmine risk special education director for the UNHCR in Ethiopia, assistant professor of conflict management theory at the Universidad de los Andes, professor at Relativity School, a mediation trainer at the California Lawyers for the Arts, and a Los Angeles District Attorney.

LeFan completed his Juris Doctorate in 2 years at Southwestern Law School while in its Trial Advocacy Honors Program. While completing his Masters in Psychology, Professor LeFan was teacher's assistant to esteemed author and professor, Dr. Louis Cozolino. He was also President of GSEP's chapter of PSI CHI, the International Honors Society in Psychology.

LeFan has served on several boards, including the Awassa Children's Project and the Laurel Canyon Association. He was also the chair of the business law section of the Beverly Hills Bar Association and is currently on the board of directors of the Campo de Cahuenga Museum.
