Kelly Cunningham

Biography

Kelly is an adjunct professor for the M.A. in Teaching Program and is also a full-time high school math teacher at Mira Costa in Manhattan Beach. With a passion for teaching and diversity, she is the chair of the Social Emotional Wellness Committee and is a Teacher on Special Assignment working to align math curriculum with the Common Core State Standards. Before entering the field of education, she worked in engineering and advertising at Sandia National Laboratories' Explosives Components Facilities, Leo Burnett, and Saatchi & Saatchi LA.

Her role as an educator has included international travel with her high school students to Italy, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Peru. During these trips, she committed to service by donating time and aid to orphanages, schools, and communities.
