
Jorge Ballesteros
Biography
Dr. Jorge Ballesteros is a Bilingual Sport Psychologist working for the Chicago Cubs. Prior to joining the organization, he served as the coordinator of Athletic Counseling at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. He completed his postdoctoral training at Stanford University within their athletic department. Dr. Ballesteros obtained his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Arizona State University. He also earned dual master’s degrees from Ball State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Kinesiology with an emphasis in Sport Psychology. Jorge has experience in working with Olympic, collegiate, and high school athletes on various issues including confidence, pre-performance anxiety, focus, and leadership. He is bilingual in Spanish and English and is passionate about providing work in either language. Jorge has taught various clinical courses including Practicum, Theories of Counseling, and Pre-Practicum.
