Biography

Goni Bissell is a licensed clinical psychologist who earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Pepperdine University. Dr. Bissell completed her pre- and post-doctoral internships at the Wright Institute Los Angeles, a community mental health center specializing in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

Dr. Bissell has been teaching and supervising since 2019 in her role as the Assistant Director of the Valley Community Counseling Clinic in North Hollywood, California. Dr. Bissell has been seeing patients in private practice since 2013 where she specializes in working with relational trauma and intersectionality with both individuals and couples. Dr. Bissell's clinical interests include psychoanalysis, multicultural psychology, creativity, neurodiversity, and the spectrum of sexual and gender identities.
