
Daniela Girbal-Shilvarjo
Biography
Daniela Girbal-Shilvarjo, LMFT, earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. As a psychotherapist, she has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families in private practice, group practice, community, and educational settings. Her areas of focus include depression, anxiety, behavioral challenges, life transitions, parenting, and relationship issues. Professor Girbal-Shilvarjo also spent several years counseling high school students, providing both therapy and academic/college guidance.
In her private practice, Professor Girbal-Shilvarjo specializes in couples therapy and integrates evidence-based approaches, including the Gottman Method, to help partners improve communication, rebuild trust, and deepen emotional connection. She believes therapy is a collaborative process tailored to each client’s unique needs, and she feels honored to support her clients on their journeys toward growth and self-discovery. With warmth and empathy, Professor Girbal-Shilvarjo helps couples navigate challenges and foster lasting intimacy.
