Biography

Claire Blakey (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, and Professor in Santa Barbara, CA. Claire is passionate about leadership, public speaking, mentorship, education, and community building. Claire has served as the past president of the local association for therapists and recently spoke at the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists Leadership Conference. Claire serves on the faculty for Antioch University Santa Barbara and Pepperdine University in their graduate school programs for clinical psychology.

Claire treats perinatal mental health (all things pregnancy + postpartum mental health), anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and life transitions. Claire is trained in perinatal EMDR and often leans towards a person-centered, strength-based, warm therapeutic approach.

Claire is passionate about supporting parents in pregnancy + postpartum and is Perinatal Mental Health Certified through Postpartum Support International.
