
Catlin Tucker
Biography
Dr. Catlin Tucker is a bestselling author, international trainer, and keynote speaker. She serves as a professor in the Master of Arts in Teaching program at Pepperdine University, where she supports aspiring educators in developing equitable, student-centered instructional practices. Drawing from her 16 years in the classroom and her doctoral research in learning technologies, Dr. Tucker explores how blended learning, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and artificial intelligence can be used to design inclusive, student-led learning experiences.
A former Teacher of the Year in Sonoma County, Dr. Tucker is passionate about reimagining the role of the teacher and fostering learner agency at all grade levels. Her work bridges instructional design and innovation, with a focus on practical strategies teachers can use to elevate Tier 1 instruction and make learning more meaningful and accessible for all students.
Dr. Tucker has spoken at national and international conferences, and her insights have reached educators around the world through her popular books, blog, podcast (The Balance), and TEDx Talk, Education Reimagined: Student-led Learning. She has published 11 books, including The Station Rotation & UDL, Elevating Educational Design with AI, and The Shift to Student-led.
