Antonio Amparán

Biography

Professor Amparán has over a decade of experience in educational leadership. As a principal in the Los Angeles Unified School District, he builds the capacity of stakeholders and transforms the learning environment to increase student achievement. As a professor in the M.A. in Teaching Program, he fosters students' academic success. In these roles, he develops effective leaders and teachers and transforms schools.

He recently co-constructed a professional development program allowing teachers and students to publish student-authored books utilizing Project Based Learning and co-presented with Pepperdine University and teachers at the American Educational Research Association (AERA) in Chicago, Illinois. He is an Executive Board Member with the Elementary Principals Organization and on the Board of Directors with the Association of California School Administrators, Region 16.
