
Annika Marshall
Biography
Dr. Annika Marshall (she/her) is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who holds a Doctorate in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Georgia, and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University (West Los Angeles campus).
She is a Visiting Clinical Professor of Psychology for the Online Psychology Division. Before joining the Pepperdine faculty in 2025, Dr. Marshall served as an Associate Professor and Assistant Clinical Director in the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Converse University in Greenville, South Carolina. Her scholarly interests center on anti-racist and intersectional educational interventions and activism that promote equity and inclusion in mental health and higher education.
At Pepperdine, she teaches graduate-level courses in the diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders, counseling theories and techniques, and couples therapy. In addition to her academic work, Dr. Marshall is the founder of OC Relationships, her private psychotherapy practice based in Irvine, California, and virtually across California. She provides therapy for individuals, couples, and families. Her clinical expertise centers on couples and relationship therapy, where she brings a compassionate, insight-oriented approach to helping clients deepen their emotional connections with themselves and others.
Dr. Marshall is particularly passionate about working with young adults as they explore their identity, purpose, and relationships.
