
Jaz Robbins
Biography
Jaz Robbins, PsyD, BCHN is a licensed psychologist who holds a board certification in holistic nutrition. She specializes in the treatment of trauma as well as the intersection of nutrition and mental health. As a trauma expert, Dr. Robbins has provided mental health services to individuals who lost a loved one due to murder, adults suffering from active substance addiction, teens and adults struggling with active suicidal ideation, veterans with histories of combat trauma, as well as adults navigating chronic illness and medical trauma.
Dr. Robbins is a professional consultant, trainer, and facilitator who provides services to organizations that serve trauma survivors. She holds expertise in the birth trauma space, and collaborates with hospitals and healthcare institutions to develop and lead trauma-informed care training initiatives for their teams. Through her lab, The Active Experience - Trauma, Wellness & Holistic Healing Research Center, she enjoys providing research opportunities for students interested in trauma. She is a published author and frequent contributor to the Los Angeles Psychologist and California Psychologist trade magazines. Additionally, Dr. Robbins is a poet and a performing artist who frequently integrates expressive arts into all aspects of her work.
