Prior to joining Pepperdine, Jasmine Phillips taught Psychology, Human Development, and Child Development for over ten years in the California Community College system, where she was also a college counselor. She has worked at Compton College, Long Beach City College, Cerritos College, Golden West College, Los Angeles Trade Technical College, Los Angeles Harbor College, and Crafton Hills College. Her specialty is in teaching psychology from a multicultural perspective, where the subject matter learned can be applied to students' personal lives. Helping students to be successful and reach their goals is what motivates Professor Phillips to keep teaching and inspiring students. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures as she has been to 17 countries, and she also loves spending time with her 80-pound Rottweiler-Doberman Bella.
