Biography

Gina Polesetsky earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage & Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. She is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has several years of experience working in mental health with people of all ages, with an emphasis in working with adolescents, women, and couples. Her work focuses on anxiety, identity, and trauma, including narcissistic abuse recovery, sexual assault, childhood abuse, and intergenerational trauma, as well as in working with family issues including divorce, co-parenting, blended families, and family estrangement.

Gina has specialized training in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), mindfulness, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). She has a commitment to fostering holistic healing through diversity, equity, and inclusion, recognizing that every person's journey is shaped by a tapestry of experiences, cultures, and intersectionalities. Her past work experience includes several years of teaching K-12, creating and running an entertainment agency for 20 years, and providing therapy in community mental health, and as a school counselor for K-12 students. Currently, she sees clients in her private practice, Be Well With Gina, located in Culver City, California.
