Biography

Christopher Norris is a licensed psychotherapist and Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)​ who earned his doctorate in counseling psychology from Argosy University. Licensed across​ Washington, Colorado, Oregon, and California, he holds clinical credentials as a Licensed​ Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Behavior​ Analyst (LBA), and National Certified Counselor (NCC), along with specialized addiction​ certifications including Licensed Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LAADC),​ Internationally Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (ICAADC), and Substance Use​ Disorder Professional (SUDP). He is also a Board-Certified Telehealth Professional.

Dr. Norris has​ been an adjunct faculty member at Pepperdine University since 2018, teaching in the applied​ behavior analysis, autism, and industrial-organizational psychology programs, and is the​ founder and clinical director of Norris Integrated Behavioral Consulting (bx411.com). Before​ entering private practice, he spent more than 25 years with the Los Angeles Unified School​ District as a behavior specialist, administrator, dean, education specialist, and school counselor​ before retiring in 2019.

Christopher is an integrative, trauma-informed clinician whose​ professional interests include addiction and dual-diagnosis treatment, autism spectrum services, and disability advocacy. His practice draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), Solution-Focused, family systems, and existential approaches. He holds professional affiliations with the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science (ACBS), the California Association for Behavior Analysis (CALABA), and the California Association of Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (CALPCC).
