At the Graduate School of Education, Lani Fraizer serves as Co-Chair/Co-Committee of the Dissertation Excellence and Innovations Project Dr. Farzin Madjidi and Dr. Gabrielle Miramontes. She teaches doctoral courses focusing on the cross-sector areas of global leadership, social innovation and technology.
In service to the global community, Dr. Fraizer serves as a Scholar-in-Residence at the Yunus Center in Pathumthani, Thailand - a collaboration between Nobel Laureate Professor Muhammad Yunus and the Asian Institute of Technology, with a vision to harness the power of social business to create a poverty-free world. For over a decade, Dr. Lani Fraizer championed the advancement of women in technology, serving as a Global Ambassador for the Grace Hopper Women in Computing. Her contributions there included fostering careers in technology, open source, edtech, and productization..
In private sector, she serves as Worldwide Senior Strategy and Education Consultant for Microsoft's Public Sector for the last decade. Her global perspectives on learning and technology is largely informed by that work and cross-sector partnerships to advance a future-ready tech-savvy workforce. Most recently she was recognized as Innovative Educator Expert by Microsoft. Lani founded one of the first B Corporations (B Lab) in Northern California using business as a force for good. She was also Founding Partner for Collaborative Impact - a Seattle-based Social Purpose Enterprise established to develop and manage highly effective cross-sector and multi-stakeholder partnerships that address major social and developmental challenges.
Dr. Lani Fraizer is co-author of Ashoka's Campus Starter Kit for Faculty and Staff: Resources for Developing Social Entrepreneurship Education on Your Campus, published by The Algernon Sydney Sullivan Foundation and Ashoka to help build hubs of social innovation by tapping into the creative and ingenuity of the campus community around the world.
Dr. Lani is an alumni of Oxford University's Said Business School, and graduated from Pepperdine's Doctoral Program in Educational Technology and Leadership with distinction. She's earned a Master of Science in Information Technology Management from the Heinz School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University. Lani also earned a Master of Science Education and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the California State University system.
