Biography

Professor Daveon Swan is an educator, social justice advocate, and multihyphenate creative. Professor Swan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theology with a minor in African American Studies from Loyola Marymount University and a master’s degree from Villanova University School of Business. As a scholar-practitioner with a vast background in community engagement, Swan has over ten years of combined experience in higher education and program development in a directorate capacity.

Professor Swan’s pedagogical portfolio includes instruction in a wide variety of subjects including Community Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Ethnic Studies, and various leadership, vocational, and experiential learning courses. Other private sector experience includes leading executive teams, brand management and development, nonprofit management, corporate training, and board governance.
