Biography

Abeera Tareen (she/her) is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She obtained her M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University. 

Currently, Abeera is seeing clients at Diagnostic and Counseling Center, a private practice located in Agoura Hills, California. Abeera works with clients of all cultural backgrounds and sees clients for individual, couples, and family therapy. She primarily conducts therapy through the Cognitive-Behavioral and Humanistic lenses, but addresses each client with a tailored treatment plan pulling from various lenses as each individual is unique. Additionally, Abeera is the secretary and a board director of Childhood Matters, a non-profit that works to provide mental health resources to children and youth.
