The Board of Visitors supports and advances the mission of the Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) and Pepperdine University.
Graduate School of Education and Psychology Distinguished Alumni
Each year we choose one Education alumnus and one Psychology alumnus as our distinguished alumni. These individuals are chosen based on their contributions to their respective fields and their communities as well as their commitment to living out Pepperdine University's mission.
Pepperdine University Alumni Leadership Council
This Univeristy wide alumni volunteer organization was recently created to replace the Alumni Board. This group has set goals of creating better affinity across all Pepperdine schools by addressing their specific needs; enhancing career opportunities for alumni, especially at the time of graduation; and bolstering alumni chapters to increase their visibility in their regions.
Mara Leigh Taylor (MA '03, MA '06) founded Getting Out By Going In after more than five years of volunteer work inside prisons, teaching more than 600 inmates tools for rapid and lasting changes, and recently authored a book titled Women in Prison: Women Finding Freedom.
