Judy Ho, Ph.D., ABPP

Dr. Judy Ho is a board licensed clinical psychologist and specialty board certified in Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology. She spent three years post-doctorate conducting child psychiatric research at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute and working with community mental health providers to improve the delivery of evidence-based care to high-need populations in Los Angeles and New Orleans. An advocate for improving the experience of postdoctorate scholars, Dr. Ho served for two years on the Board of Directors and in the Executive Committee for the National Postdoctoral Association, and on the Postdoctorate Leadership Committee for the American Academy of Medical Colleges GREAT group. She has served as a consultant on the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) Community Partners in Care Project and Center for Disease Control's (CDC) Legacy for Children Project. Dr. Ho's clinical specialties include evidence-based youth and family interventions, neuropsychological and forensic assessments, and culturally responsive treatments for ethnic minority individuals. Her areas of expertise include Depression and Anxiety Issues, Childhood and Adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Eating Disorders, and Dementia.

Dr. Ho's CREATE research lab hosts her program of research aimed at 1) improving mental health service delivery and outcomes for ethnically diverse youth populations in low-income community settings, and 2) exploring creative, innovative interventions to better engage clients in the therapeutic process and to reduce stigma to professional mental health care.
