Biography

Dr. Laurie Schoellkopf has served as a drug abuse psychologist for the U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Prisons located on Terminal Island in San Pedro, California. She is responsible for the development and maintenance of treatment services and programs for inmates with substance abuse and addiction problems. Schoellkopf teaches classes on relapse prevention, criminal lifestyle confrontation, anger management, transitional issues, cognitive skills, and wellness lifestyle. She also oversees intake screening, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention among prison inmates, and has conducted weekend workshops for Pepperdine University on chemical dependency, assessment, and treatment.
