GSEP Student Employment Office

Current Students, Faculty, and Staff

The GSEP Student Employment Office is here to assist students with all their on-campus student employment needs and questions.  Over 300 GSEP students work on-campus during the academic year as Graduate Assistants, Research Assistants, and Teaching Assistants. Working on-campus not only gives students a way to earn extra income, it allows students to engage in meaningful work while gaining worthwhile job experience.  The Student Employment Office works in collaboration with Career Services to list its on-campus employment opportunities.  We encourage you to take advantage of Handshake, GSEP’s online job, internship and event database, where you can search for GSEP student employment positions. Students can log into Handshake through their WaveNet account. The Handshake link is below the Students Services tab.

The Graduate School of Education and Psychology offers three types of on-campus student employment:

  • Graduate Assistant (GA) – 19.75 hours a week
  • Research Assistant (RA) – 10 hours a week
  • Teaching Assistant (TA) – 6 hours a week

The pay rate for student employment positions starts at $15.75 per hour.
