Donation Request for Children in Need

The Multicultural Research and Training Lab at Pepperdine University, Graduate School of Education and Psychology, is committed to organizing a no cost biennial conference as an effort to promote the sharing and discussion of pertinent multicultural issues in the field of psychology. This year, we are also initiating an opportunity for attendees to share and give back to the community, both locally and internationally.

In lieu of a registration fee, we are inviting conference attendees to donate new school supplies (i.e., pencils, pens, erasers, spiral notebooks, etc.), art supplies (i.e., crayons, coloring books, glue, scissors, markers, stickers, art paper, etc.), or athletic equipment (i.e., balls, jump ropes, etc.). All in-kind donations will directly benefit two worthy organizations that offer support to children in need: Casa do Caminho in Xerem, Brazil and Hope Gardens Family Center in Sylmar, California. If you would like to know more about either of these organizations, please visit http://www.casadocaminhobrasil.org/ and http://www.hopegardens.org.

If you would like to contribute to this effort, please bring the items you wish to donate on the day of the conference!
