Pepperdine GSEP Announces Changes To The Doctorate Education Program

May 27, 2022  | 1 min read

The Graduate School of Education and Psychology is pleased to announce program changes to the Doctorate Education program to provide enhanced and customizable options for our students.

The EdD in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Policy (ELAP) program has been changed to EdD in Educational Leadership Pre-K to 12. This new program is specifically intended for Pre-K to 12 education and starts with the fall 2022 cohort. The doctoral program is also now eligible for F1 visas for full-time international students starting with the fall 2022 cohort.

In addition to these new program changes, new courses and electives have been added to the EdD curriculum, which gives students more flexibility and the ability to customize and personalize their learning. The updated curriculum includes core courses shared among all GSEP doctoral programs, two program-specific courses, and 15 new electives to customize your program further.

Students now have the ability to easily transition from any of the doctoral programs offered in the Education division including:

We are excited these changes will positively impact our students and their success in the future.

"Doctoral students today shy away from prescribed, one-size-fit-all curriculum and toward programs that allow them to have input and customize their experiences to their specific learning, career, and personal growth objectives.  We continue to listen to and celebrate the voices of our students and lead the call to excellence in doctoral education."
