Benefits of the Program:

  • Classes are offered on afternoons and weeknights at Pepperdine University West Los Angeles Graduate Campus, Encino Graduate Campus, and Irvine Graduate Campus
  • Students are able to begin this program in September, January, or May
  • Most students work while enrolling in six to nine units each semester. Consequently, it is possible to graduate in approximately 18 to 24 months
  • The program is open to students whose bachelor's degrees are in fields other than psychology
  • Depending upon previous course work, a total of 36 to 44 units is required to graduate
  • Up to six units from an accredited institution may be transferred into the program if equivalent courses were completed at the graduate level in the past seven years with a grade of "B" or better
  • A master's thesis is not required; however, most courses include a formal paper or project and a final examination
  • The program meets prerequisite requirements for application to the Doctor of Psychology program at Pepperdine University, although completion of the degree does not guarantee admission to the doctoral program
  • Financial aid, career services, and housing assistance
