Biography

Weina Chen teaches in the MA in TESOL and MS in Leadership programs at GSEP. She has extensive experience in bilingual education, online learning, and technology integration. Professor Chen regularly presents her research and conducts workshops to educators at statewide and international conferences, including TESOL International, American Educational Research Association (AERA), California Association of Bilingual Education (CABE), CATESOL, American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL), and California Language Teacher Association (CLTA). She has developed multiple language programs for local schools and universities and is the founder and past president of CABE Mandarin. Her research interests include educational technology, world language education, and internationalization of higher education.
