Biography

Dr. Veronica Kuhn is a Southern California native who joins Pepperdine University after 2 years at Texas Woman's University where she served as Assistant Professor and Program Director of their COAMFTE accredited Family Therapy Program. She is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Board Approved Supervisor in California and Texas and holds national approved supervisor designation from the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT). Veronica's research in biopsychosocial-spiritual factors in their influence on health behaviors of marginalized families and pedagogy that supports addressing gender and power in therapy has been presented nationally and internationally. Veronica has been recognized for her work by Loma Linda University Research Excellence Award, Family Process Institute New Writers Fellowship, Texas Woman's University Research Enhancement Award, and was recently nominated for Elections Council of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (voting happening now!). Other professional activities include being a Radical Roundtable contributor on the Radical Therapist Podcast. Her clinical experience includes nearly 10 years in community mental health, health care settings, and private practice. In her leisure time, Veronica enjoys spending time outdoors with her family going for hikes, swimming, and organic gardening.
