Lara Tucci, Psy.D. Candidate

Biography

Lara Tucci is a clinical psychology doctoral student at Pepperdine University who has trained at a variety of institutions, including University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Cedars-Sinai, Children's Hospital Orange County, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center, Wiseburn School District, Didi Hirsch, and the Pepperdine University Community Counseling Center. Since 2015, she has been working with patients with health-related psychological needs in the Department of Surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center of Los Angeles.

In addition to health psychology, Tucci has extensive experience working with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders. She has worked as the project coordinator for the Help Group/UCLA Autism Alliance and as senior research assistant, coach, and facilitator for UCLA PEERS. Additionally, Tucci completed more than 40 Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition assessments as a psychology intern and member of the Kaiser Interdisciplinary Development Clinic at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center.

Tucci studied mindfulness through the Mindfulness Awareness Research Center at UCLA since 2012 and continues to utilize mindfulness throughout her various psychological endeavors. Her professional and clinical interests include neuropsychology, neurodevelopmental disorders, parenting, pregnancy, creativity, well-being, health psychology, and mindfulness.
