Jack P. Lipton is a social psychologist and is a practicing attorney. As a psychologist, Dr. Lipton is widely published and is a frequent contributor to The California Psychologist. Dr. Lipton has been an adjunct instructor at GSEP for over 20 years, and prior to that, he was on the psychology faculty at Humboldt State University, Union College (Schenectady, NY), University of Arizona, and Arizona State University. As an attorney, Dr. Lipton is a Senior Partner at the law firm of Burke, Williams & Sorensen, LLP, with offices throughout California, and part of his practice involves the representation of psychologists and other mental health professionals. Previously, Dr. Lipton served on APA's Committee on Legal Issues, including as its Chairperson. In addition to teaching at GSEP, Dr. Lipton also teaches part-time at Southwestern Law School.
