Kasof's teaching interests encompass social psychology, creativity, and research methods. His research interests include creativity and the effects of light on emotion, cognition, and behavior. His research on creativity received the Berlyne Award from the American Psychological Association's division on the psychology of creativity. Kasof has published research articles in the Psychological Bulletin, the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, and other peer-reviewed journals.
