Whether it's helping to lead the charge for mathematics education reform or promoting the role of technology in transforming formal and informal education, Dr. Eric Hamilton is conceptualizing the future of learning. A former division director with the National Science Foundation, international speaker and active researcher in the development of innovative learning technologies, Hamilton now shares his vision in his new role as associate dean of Education.
"We have a nationally unique niche at GSEP in terms of our interdisciplinary approach, the communities of research and learning that we nurture and form, and in how we apply scholarship to complex educational and other organizational settings," said Hamilton. "I want to help us refine and expand that niche."
Hamilton speaks of the many stories students and graduates recount about their personally transformative experience across GSEP master's and doctoral programs. Adds Hamilton, "I think combining technology with an astute understanding of how people learn can help lead to a new golden age for education. I see Pepperdine playing a role in this on an international level."
