Pepperdine University announces the openings for these positions in the Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP).
Applications and nominations are invited for the Rosalyn S. Heyman Endowed Chair in Educational Administration at The Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) at Pepperdine University. This position primarily serves two hybrid, cohort-model graduate leadership programs: a) Ed. D in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Policy (ELAP) and b) M.S. in Educational Leadership Academy (ELA). Face-to-face sessions for ELAP and ELA graduate programs occur at the West Los Angeles and Irvine Graduate Campuses, as well as at local and national conference locations (ASCD LILA Policy Conference in Washington, D.C. for ELAP and ASCA Leadership Summit Conference in California for ELA). Online teaching occurs in Courses Powered by SAKAI and engages students in synchronous and asynchronous learning.
Responsibilities include: creating hybrid course syllabi, teaching in face-to-face and online environments, engaging in program curriculum mapping, co-designing and participating in program learning experiences and special events, conducting research, disseminating research, chairing dissertation committees, participating on dissertation committees, mentoring, networking, developing partnerships, and pursuing grants. GSEP is seeking accomplished educational leaders who have substantive knowledge and experience related to K-12 and college/university settings and who are committed to developing principled, possibility thinking, culturally proficient, and results-oriented educational leaders who are capable of envisioning, creating, and sustaining powerful learning communities in which purpose is shared, leadership capacity is intentionally developed, and improvement efforts are ongoing.

Applications are invited for a tenure-track position in policy development at The Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) at Pepperdine University. Professors are expected to teach online and face-to-face sessions in the Los Angeles area and in Orange County. Responsibilities include teaching and advising doctoral candidates in programs that prepare leaders in a variety of learning environments: K-12, higher education, corporations, and non-profit organizations. The faculty member will primarily teach policy in three doctoral programs: Educational Leadership, Administration and Policy; Organizational Leadership; and Learning Technologies. There will be opportunities to teach courses in data analysis (descriptive and inferential statistics) or economics (micro, macro, and international) depending on levels of expertise. Assignments may include leading groups of doctoral candidates on experiential trips to Washington DC and/or international destinations, such as China, India, and countries in South America.
