Welcome to Pepperdine University

A Rich Tradition of Inspirational Excellence

Pepperdine's heritage is rich in community service. It begins with George Pepperdine's founding vision for a leading University committed to the highest standards of academic excellence and Christian values, where students are strengthened for lives of purpose, service, and leadership.

In this spirit, the Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) continually provides innovative programs and opportunities which meet student and community needs for scholar-practitioners, such as:

GSEP embraces students and faculty from diverse backgrounds and perspectives who come together in person and online, share a common mission both with each other and the school, and continue to do so as active professional alumni.

This unique combination of individuals united by a singular purpose of service, supported by an institution of vision, makes the GSEP community a successful and powerful catalyst in improving the human condition.

Dr. Rhonda Brinkley-Kennedy (GSEP '96) is the director of the GSEP Urban Initiative, an umbrella program preparing education and mental health professionals to work effectively in underserved urban communities.
