Student Employment

The GSEP Student Employment Office serves students, faculty and staff by supporting on-campus student employment.

Currently enrolled GSEP students (at least 6 units per term) are eligible to apply for a Student Assistantship. GSEP offers three types of Assistantships: Graduate Assistants, Teaching Assistants and Research Assistants. Student employees are allowed to work up to 19.75 hours per week, and the pay rate is $12.20 - $13.30 per hour depending on the student’s degree level.

Current Faculty, Staff, and Students should visit GSEP’s Student Employment Page for further information.

Although our Student Employment office does not expressly connect students with on-campus employment opportunities, we partner with Career Services to help students locate on-campus employment.

GSEP has an active Diversity Council, comprised of faculty, staff, and students, whose aim is to promote discourse and foster multicultural proficiency. The Council developed a biannual speaker series to provide a forum for representatives of varied backgrounds and views to speak on subjects affecting the fields of education and mental health.
