Maysaa Mohammad Earned Outstanding Student Teacher Award

MaysaaPepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology (GSEP) graduate Maysaa Mohammad was honored on May 24th by Delta Kappa Gamma Society International with the Outstanding Student Teacher Award. 

The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, an honorary society of educators, which promotes professional and personal growth of women educators, and excellence in education, has selected Maysaa Mohammed as the recipient of the Outstanding Student Teacher Award, 2011. Maysaa has just completed the requirements for her credential. She student-taught at Santa Monica Blvd. Community Charter School (SMBCCS) in Hollywood, California, under the tutelage of Dr. J.L. Fortson, the Director of Student Teaching for Pepperdine University GSEP. Maysaa has demonstrated the talent, dedication and commitment necessary to make a significant contribution to the teaching profession, and the warmth and caring necessary to be an outstanding, nurturing teacher.
